Busy time for Northern Ireland Patchwork Guild

 The Guild had a demonstration and display at the Create a thon in the Ulster Museum in April. Yet again we discovered how many ladies can’t/ won’t sew, majority being under 40 years old.

The display demonstrated the variations in patchwork as well as the process. Examples from the past up to modern day.

  

There were many creative events going on around us

 

Still in April we were setting up again in titanic quarter for the Create and Craft event. We had many visitors to the stand who have decided to visit the guild.

 Pauline Openneer, Dutch born came up from Creeslough in Co Donegal to tell us about tweed. I have a few pieces I have kept for a special project as it’s fairly expensive but I purchased a few more to add to my stash. It was wonderful to see Paulines items so lots more creative ideas floating around my head for the future.
